Army General, six others feared killed in Taraba crisis

Seven military officers, including a Commanding Officer, have been feared dead after a clash between the Kuteb ethnic group and Fulani in Takum local government area of Taraba.

A resident of Takum confided the clash occurred on Tuesday when suspect Fulani militia renewed attacks on about 15 communities.

“Before 6:30am, they (attackers) were at Tati community in Takum. The first casualty was a mobile police man who was shot dead and his gun taken away. Another mobile police man escaped,” the source said.
