Ogun Guber: Ten political parties form alliance against Dapo Abiodun, adopt NNPP’s Oguntoyinbo
Ten political parties and 20 deregistered political parties in the Ogun State have withdrawn from the race in Ogun state, formed an alliance, endorsed and adopted the governorship candidate of New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP), Amb Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo in Ogun state.
The parties include African Democratic Congress (ADC), Labour Party (LP), African Action Congress (AAC), Action Alliance (AA), Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and Social Democratic Party (SDP).
National Rescue Movement (NRM), All People’s Party (APP), Action Democratic Party (ADP), Boot Party (BP), Atiku Support Group and others.
The adoption was made at ONTEC Event Centre, Abiola way, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Thursday.
Speaking why they adopted the governorship candidate of the NNPP, representing all the parties in the alliance, Olowo John Bolaji, Sokeye Oluwalogbo, Sonde Rasaq, Amusa Sefiu, Bolaji Sunday and others agreed that they took the decision to rescue Ogun state, maintaining that the four years of Gov Dapo Abiodun administration has rolled back the achievements of past governments and returned Ogun state to the locust years.
“The state has stagnated for many years hands of previous administrations in the state and we must not squander this opportunity that democracy has given us.
“We believe that to right these wrongs, there is a need for us to form a virile coalition with a party that can dislodge this administration that has shown itself to be lacking in development.
