Soludo completes 12.5km Ezira-Umuomaku-Enugu Umuonyia Road, commended for keeping his promise
It was a promise made and kept, as Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State in his infrastructural drive, completes the construction of the 12.5km Ezira-Umuomaku-Enugu Umuonyia-Achina Road, linking several communities.
With the ongoing and completed road projects in the state, Governor Soludo has literally turned Anambra into a construction site in his pursuit of transforming the state into a country-wide destination brand.
According to Mr Izuchuckwu Eze, a community leader Omuoanyia, the governor, who has been embarking on several road rehabilitation projects, kept his promise with the 12.5km road, which will make our communities along the road easily accessible, farm products available to other parts of the state, and small-scale businesses in the locality boosted.
Recently, Soludo commissioned the 11.9km Mmiata-Anam-Nzam road, which links to the headquarters of Anambra West Local Government Area (LGA).
While inspecting the completed project, Governor Soludo affirmed, ” I Promised Ndi Anambra West that if l fail to build that road to your headquarters, that if l ever come back to your local government to campaign or to ask you for anything, that you should stone me,” Governor Soludo stated.
The State’s Executive Council recently approved the construction of new roads in the 21 Local Government Areas, which will be delivered within six months, while existing projects will be completed, according to the Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor PhD.
Interestingly, Soludo is speedily transforming Anambra into a destination band, redefining governance, blending vision and execution to unlock its vast economic and human potential for economic development.
