Medical Director commends NGO, pledges support

The Medical Director/CEO of God’s Covenant Hospital, Lagos, Dr Festus Dare has pledged support for Network for Social Empowerment and Healthcare Initiative (NSEHI), a health and empowerment focused non-governmental organization.
Dr Dare made the pledge in his office in the Oworonshoki area of Lagos State during a consultative visit by the CEO of NSEHI, Dr Eseme Unen, today (Thursday , 30th January,2025)
The visit, Unen said, was to seek his professional counsel and solicit partnership with his hospital on NSEHI’s anti-malaria campaigns in the build-up to this year’s World Malaria Day holding in April.
The medical director commended the NGO and its promoters for their vision and mission, stressing that the worst victims of malaria are pregnant women and children under the age of 5.
According to him though malaria is endemic in Nigeria, Hypertension and Diabetes are too dangerous to be treated with levity. These two, he said, kill faster than malaria.
He therefore advised the NGO to equally place emphasis on advocacy and credible test for blood pressure and sugar levels of its target population.
On collaboration, he indicated willingness to support through advocacy during NSEHI’s campaigns, if given adequate notice.
He equally assured of his readiness to assist with advice and information on health issues at all times.
NSEHI’s CEO thanked Dr. Dare and his entire team for standing out as a beacon in their chosen field and, in particular, their humanitarian approach to their professional practice and service delivery.
