NNPC Ltd warns against fraudsters posing as company representatives

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has issued a stern warning to the public to beware of impostors and fraudulent entities claiming to represent the company.

In a statement on Monday, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the company, Olufemi Soneye, disclosed that these fraudsters have been soliciting payments in exchange for arranging meetings with members of the NNPC board, executives, and senior management.

Soneye described such actions as both unauthorized and illegal.

He particularly cautioned foreign investors and international business organizations to exercise vigilance and report any suspicious approach to the relevant authorities without delay.

He emphasized that all legitimate dealings with NNPC Limited are conducted solely through its official communication channels and authorized business units.

“NNPC Limited remains fully committed to transparency, integrity, and the protection of our partners and stakeholders,” Soneye stated.

The company encouraged members of the public to remain alert, share this advisory, and join efforts to prevent financial scams and corporate misrepresentation.

It further advised the public to reach out via: contactus@nnpcgroup.com for verification or further information on anything related to it.
