Death blows the final whistle for Amodu at 58

 

Barely three days after the death of former Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, has another former coach of the same team and the current Technical Director of the senior national team, Amodu Shaibu died at 58. He was said to have died in his sleep early hours of today, Saturday, June 11, 2016.

He was reported to have complained of chest pain late Friday after dropping off fellow coach Godwin Izilien in Benin City.

Family sources said a check on Amodu at 4am on Saturday morning discovered his lifeless body. His remains was said to have been deposited in the same Stella Obasanjo Specialist Hospital morgue, the same place Keshi is at the moment before the final burial formalities.

Edo State Commissioner for Information, Mr.  Kassim Afegbua, and a host of other government officials, including his relations were said to be concluding plans this morning on his burial according to Islamic rites.
