Investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) spent N3.702 billion on 444.513 million shares in 5,565 deals on Friday as against 450.524 million shares valued at N5.707 billion exchanged in 6,360 deals on Thursday.
Market Capitalisation of the Exchange which closed trading on Thursday at 10.671 trillion fell to 10.527 trillion on Friday having recorded a loss of N144 billion. Equally, the All-Share Index which closed at 31, 071.25on Thursday came down to 30,649.66 on the last trading day for the week.
The top gainers for the day was led by GLAXOSMITH with N2.05 to close at N22.12 from the value of N20.07 with which it opened the day trading; JBERGER which opened the day trading at N42.1, closed at N44 as it added N1.9; CONOIL added N1.04 to its opening value of N20.96 as it gained N22.00; PRESCO added N0.8 to its opening value of N35.7 to close the day at N36.5; OKOMUOIL opened at N31 and closed at N31.5 having added N0.5 to its per share value.
The day’s top-losers was led by NB with N4.49 and from the value N149.49, it closed at N145 per share; DANGCEM with a loss of N3.76 and from its opening value N203.96, it closed at N200.2; UNILEVER opened at N33.7 and closed at N33 as it lost N0.7; ZENITHBANK recorded a loss of N0.7 and from the value of N17.7 it opened the trading activities, it closed at N17.00; FLOURMILL which opened at N24 closed at N23.75 as it was marked down by N0.25 per share.
The most traded stock on Friday was NEM with 91.353 million shares valued at N85.895 million; TRANSCORP traded 50.585 million shares at N100.115 million; ZENITHBANK traded 41.483 million shares valued at N699.302 million; FBNH accounted for 36.178 million shares valued at N150.380 million while GUARANTY completed the top-five most traded stocks with 35.830 million shares at N853.019 million.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. My coder is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less.
