Equities market rises by 0.76%
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.76 per cent, while the Year-to-Date return stood at -6.82 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 26,688.25 against the previous close of 26,486.02 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.183 trillion against previous close of ₦9.113 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 5.29 per cent from 139.098 million to 131.741 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 12.92 per cent from ₦1.433 billion to ₦1.248 billion in 2,257 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 78.427 million shares exchanged for ₦0.338 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 19.294 million shares traded for ₦0.404 billion, Conglomerates, Industrial Goods, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Intbrew, Transcorp, FCMB, Access and Zenithbank were the most active stocks by volume. UPL, UBN, NEM, NAHCO and NASCON emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Guinness, ETI, Custodyins, Livestock and Ekocorp topped the losers chart.
