Market up by 2.23% as investors gain N190bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 2.23 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -6.49 per cent as investors recorded a gain of N190 billion.
The All-Share Index closed at 25,129.27 against the previous close of 24,581.99 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.697 trillion against previous close of ₦8.507 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 68.04 per cent from 128.161 million to 215.362 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 76.27 per cent from ₦1.473 billion to ₦2.596 billion in 3,692 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 182.588 million shares exchanged for ₦1.453 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 13.397 million shares traded for ₦0.987 billion, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas, Healthcare sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Access, Zenithbank, UBA, FBNH and UCAP were the most active stocks by volume. Transcorp, Guinness, Dangcem, Paintcom and Dangflour emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Afriprud, Aiico, Meyer, Unitybnk and Caverton topped the losers chart.
