Market down by 0.57% as investors lose N50bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.57 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -7.03 percent.
The All-Share Index closed at 24,986.02 against the previous close of 25,129.27 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.647 trillion against previous close of ₦8.697 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 1.56 per cent from 215.362 million to 218.720 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 50.07 per cent from ₦2.596 billion to ₦3.896 billion in 3,191 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 157.68 million shares exchanged for ₦1.316 billion.
Consumer Goods came next with 38.68 million shares traded for ₦1.741 billion, Conglomerates, Construction/Real Estate, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Stanbic, Access, Zenithbank, Fidelitybk and FBNH were the most active stocks by volume. Unilever, NB, Dangsugar, Champion and Guinness emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Eterna, Ashakacem, UCAP, Seplat and Wapco topped the losers chart.
