Market up 0.07% as investors gain N5bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.07 per cent on Wednesday, while the year-to-date return stood at -5.85 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 25,301.23 against the previous close of 25,284.56 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.756 trillion against previous close of ₦8.751 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 2.64 per cent from 227.757 million to 233.778 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 133.04 per cent from ₦0.928 billion to ₦2.164 billion in 3,196 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 207.817 million shares exchanged for ₦0.548 billion.
Conglomerates came next with 10.36 million shares traded for ₦0.017 billion, Consumer Goods, Industrial Goods, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Diamondbnk, FBNH, Fidelitybk, UCAP and UBA were the most active stocks by volume.
Afriprud, Continsure, Honyflour, Unilever and UCAP emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while NAHCO, Neimeth, FO, Ashakacem and Transcorp topped the losers chart.
