Investors open the week with N4bn gain
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.07 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -4.48 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 25,671.55 against the previous close of 25,653.16 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.882 trillion against previous close of ₦8.878 trillion. Volume traded increased by 227.14 per cent from 151.384 million to 495.238 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 37.23 per cent from ₦1.857 billion to ₦2.549 billion in 2,587 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 477.415 million shares exchanged for ₦1.979 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 6.318 million shares traded for ₦0.309 billion, Conglomerates, Construction/Real Estate, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Custodyins, FBNH, UBA, Zenithbank and Diamondbnk were the most active stocks by volume. Mobil, NAHCO, Fidson, Guaranty and Nestle emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while UCAP, Guinness, Custodyins, Neimeth and Jberger topped the losers chart.
