Stock market index drops further Tuesday by 1.10%
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 1.10 per cent on Tuesday trading, while the year-to-date return stood at 20.60 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 32,410.20 against the previous close of 32,769.80 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.170 trillion against previous close of ₦11.332 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 27.00 per cent from 162.354 million to 206.184 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 12.19 per cent from ₦1.517 billion to ₦1.702 billion in 4,294 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 154.916 million shares exchanged for ₦1.196 billion. Conglomerates came next with 25.145 million shares traded for ₦0.044 billion, Consumer Goods, Construction/Real Estate, Agriculture sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Fidelitybk, Transcorp, Access, FBNH and Sterlnbank were the most active stocks by volume. Redstarex, Honyflour, Skyebank, Aglevent and NNFM emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Neimeth, UBA, Flourmill, Jberger and Guinness topped the losers chart.
