Nigerian bourse rises by 1.04% Wednesday, investors gain N125bn

The bull managed a comeback on The Nigerian Stock Exchange on Wednesday as the market All- Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 1.04 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 31.01 per cent as investors gained N125 billion.
The All-Share Index closed at 35,207.89 against the previous close of 34,846.82 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.137 trillion against previous close of ₦12.012 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 21.36% from 174.656 million to 137.351 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 59.92% from ₦2.829 billion to ₦1.134 billion in 2,977 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 74.952 million shares exchanged for ₦0.513 billion. Industrial Goods came next with 21.348 million shares traded for ₦0.111 billion, Conglomerates, Consumer Goods, Construction/Real Estate sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Meyer, Access, Transcorp, FCMB and Fidelitybk were the most active stocks by volume. Maybaker, Continsure, 7Up, Linkassure and Oando emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Npfmcrfbk, NASCON, Neimeth, UBN and Mansard topped the losers chart.
