Nigerian stock exchange records 0.93% rise on Thursday

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.93 per cent while the year-to-date return stood at 31.83 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 35,429.31 against the previous close of 35,103.40 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.213 trillion against previous close of ₦12.101 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 153.82% from 136.404 million to 346.215 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 214.83% from ₦1.269 billion to ₦3.996 billion in 3,066 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 250.153 million shares exchanged for ₦1.125 billion. Industrial Goods came next with 41.472 million shares traded for ₦1.951 billion, Conglomerates, Consumer Goods, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Skyebank, Mansard, Transcorp, Meyer and Access were the most active stocks by volume. Fidson, Bocgas, Cileasing, Afriprud and PZ emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while NASCON, CCNN, MRS, Vitafoam and Aglevent topped the losers chart.
