Nigerian bourse adds 0.22% on Tuesday
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.22 per cent on Tuesday while the Year-to-Date return stood at 37.73 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 37,013.57 against the previous close of 36,930.83 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.810 trillion against previous close of ₦12.782 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 34.59 per cent from 466.522 million to 305.171 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 0.09 per cent from ₦2.903 billion to ₦2.905 billion in 4,399 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 211.819 million shares exchanged for ₦1.074 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 55.335 million shares traded for ₦1.517 billion, Industrial Goods, Conglomerates, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Diamondbnk, Fidelitybk, Cadbury, FBNH and Meyer were the most active stocks by volume. Diamondbnk, UPL, Nem, Meyer and FCMB emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Intbrew, Linkassure, Morison, Mobil and Learnafrca topped the losers chart.
