ACAMB holds AGM, endorses new EXCO
Building on the successes of revitalizing the Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACAMB) in its quest to improve quality discourse and advocacy for the Banking industry, members of the Association, had on Thursday in Lagos during its 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) endorsed the exco for a two-year tenure.
ACAMB had recently announced the members of the interim EXCO which were re-constituted to drive the vision of the organization. By this ratification, all the exco members have assumed their substantive positions.
ACAMB President & Divisional Head, Brand & Communications, Fidelity Bank Plc, Charles Aigbe is leading a highly effective team of crack marketing communications professionals that have been assembled from diverse backgrounds to shape conversations and perceptions around the Banking industry.
As Aigbe takes on the onerous task of repositioning the association for greater impact, especially in the area of building market confidence across different segments and key stakeholders groups, he is equally supported by a vibrant 12-man Exco to leverage on wide range of expertise with combined industry experience spanning over 100 years.
The position of 1st Vice President is occupied by Ogochukwu Ekezie-Ekaidem. She is Head/DGM, Corporate Affairs & Corporate Communications Department of Union Bank while Dayo Aderugbo, Head, Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing Department of Standard Chartered Bank is the 2nd Vice-President.
In the same vein, Mr. Rasheed Bolarinwa, Head, Corporate Communication of Skye Bank is the Secretary-General of the Association. He is assisted by Shola Ogunyemi of Ecobank. BukolaOluyadi, Head, Brand Management of First Bank and Lola Egboh, Head, Digital Marketing & Communications of FCMB hold the positions of Treasurer and Financial Secretary of the Association respectively.
Other Executive members include Mr. Matthew Obiazikwor, Head, Corporate Communications, Unity Bank who is the Publicity Secretary and Bridget Oyefeso-Odusami of Stanbic-IBTC, the Social Secretary.
The Ex-Officio members for the Body are Isaac Okoroafor, Director, Corporate Communication, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN),Hadi Birchi, Head, Corporate Communication, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Sunday Ebong, Head, Corporate Communication, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and, Lola Odedina, the immediate past president of ACAMB.
ACAMB President, Aigbe has pledged an inclusive and purposeful leadership that would meet stakeholders’ aspirations.“We will execute mandate with our utmost commitment and ability to deliver on the goals of the association and to the benefit of banking industry and all stakeholders”, he told members at the AGM.
He outlined industry stakeholders’ advocacy, value added partnership with relevant industry bodies and enhanced membership capacity building as part of his vision and programmes for ACAMB.
The Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks is in the vanguard of promoting the image and perception of the Banking industry by bridging information gaps amongst stakeholders.
