Nigerian bourse closes stronger still, Index adds 0.62% Thursday

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSEASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.62 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 41.19 per cent on Thursday.

The All-Share Index closed at 37,944.60 against the previous close of 37,709.20 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦13.215 trillion against previous close of ₦13.133 trillion.

Volume traded increased by 2564.05 per cent from 441.808 million to 11770.000 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 423.10 per cent from ₦4.088 billion to ₦21.384 billion in 5,152 deals.

The Conglomerates sector led the activity chart with 11323.541 million shares exchanged for ₦14.27 5 billion. Financial Services came next with 370.889 million shares traded for ₦3.078 billion, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.

Transcorp, Fidelitybk, Fbnh, Zenithbank and Fcmb were the most active stocks by volume. Lawunion, Fo, Ccnn, 7Up and Cadbury emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Cileasing,  Neimeth, Linkassure, Learnafrca and Upl topped the losers chart.
