Nigerian bourse grows by 1.37% on Tuesday

The Nigerian Equities market sustained a positive momentum for the fifth successive trading session on Tuesday as NSE All-Share Index recorded 1.37 per cent growth from its previous close of 37974.58 points to close at 38494.43 points.

Market capitalization stood at N13.38tn and market breadth closed in favour of the bulls with a ratio of 2.90 as 32 gainers outnumbered by 11 losers.

The NSEINS, NSEOILGAS shed points leaving others to close in green as NSECNSMRGDS again outperformed all other sectors to drop NSE ASEM also in the losers table.

Trade volume and trade value both increased from 500 million shares valued at N6.36bn by 4.43 per cent and 18.32 per cent to close at 522 million shares and 7.52bn naira at the close of today.

The equities market closed on a 5-day positive rally Tuesday as expected, we expect the market to move either way in the next trading session in reaction to balancing effect.
