Saraki says Ekweremadu’s appointment as Professor example to upcoming generations

Nigeria Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has lauded Ike Ekweremadu’s appointment as a Professor and Senior Mentoring Scholar of E-Governance and Strategic Government Studies, by the Southern University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States of America.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the Special Adviser to the Senate President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyon, Saraki said the development was a good example to upcoming generations.

He said the deputy Senate President had been long overdue for the appointment not only because of his academic bent, but that despite his tight legislative and political schedule, he was doing well in other areas.

“This appointment did not come to me as a surprise. I am only surprised that it did not come much earlier.

“Southern University could not have a made better choice. I am confident that your performance on this role will surpass the expectations of the university council,” he said.

He further commended Ekweremadu for not only blazing an enviable academic trail but for being a good example to his contemporaries and up coming generations.
