Buhari retains self as Petroleum Minister, relieves Fashola of Power Ministry

President Muhammadu Buhari has retained himself as Minister of Petroleum even as the former Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola who was hitherto in charge of Works, Power and Housing has been stripped of Power now in charge of Works and Housing.

He announced Timipre Sylva as Minister of State for Petroleum, and retained Lai Mohammed and Chris Ngige as Information and Labour Ministers respectively.

President Buhari who made the announcement on Wednesday said Senator Godswill Akpabio is to take charge of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, while former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami retains former portfolio.
