894 students fail August 2019 Final Bar Exam

The Council of legal Education, Nigeria has released the results of August 2019 Final Bar Examination with a total of 894 students, representing 15.71 per cent of the 5, 689 students who sat for the examination were said to have failed.

A breakdown of the final result shows that 147 students representing 2.58 per cent made first class while 741 representing 13.03 per cent of those who went through the examination made second class upper.

Majority of those who went through the one-year rigour made second class lower. A total of 2,246 students, representing 39.485 per cent were in this category.

Those who graduated from the Law School with ordinary pass were 1,291 students which was 22.695 per cent of the total student who took part in the examination.

A total of 319 students which comes to 5.61 per cent were in the category of conditional pass while 41 students representing 0.72 per cent were absent in the examination even as the result of 10 students, representing 0.14 per cent were withheld.
