Kogi, Bayelsa elections: Nigeria sliding back to era of dictatorship – PDP
The PDP has referred to the conduct of the Bayelsa and Kogi elections as the destruction of democracy in Nigeria, stressing that the world were shocked as they watched how the elections were massively rigged
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said this in its reaction to the outcome of the governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states.
The PDP, however, said that it was still strong and united in its mission to uphold the dreams of Nigerians for their nation.
In its response, the PDP said on its official Facebook page that the results of the polls show that the hope of Nigerians in democracy has dashed and trampled upon by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal government.
The opposition party accused the police of aiding hoodlums to invade polling centers and harass voters during the election.
