Pipeline explosion in Lagos suburb
A pipeline explosion has been reported on Thursday morning in Isheri Olofin, Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, forcing residents to flee for safety.
It was learned that the explosion occurred as a result of pipeline damaged by vandals within Gloryland Estate.
However, casualties are yet to be ascertained as the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) officials have been deployed to the area.
A similar incident had occurred in the same area on June 19. Although no life was lost to the explosion also caused by vandals who tampered with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) pipeline in the area, several cars and other houses were burnt.
