COVID-19: TRACE deploys 750 personnel for enforcement of lockdown in Ogun

Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) has deployed 750 personnel for enforcement of compliance with the directive on lockdown of the state following Coronavirus pandemic.

The Corps Commander of TRACE, Mr Seni Ogunyemi, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota, Ogun, on Saturday.

Ogunyemi explained that the Corps had also deployed another 500 TRACE mayors, 12 heavy duty tow trucks and a patrol vehicle for the enforcement.

The TRACE boss said that the personnel of the agency had been sensitised and guided on the civil way to carry out their duties.

“The TRACE personnel will collaborate with other sister agencies to carry out compliance with the directive on COVID-19 lockdown in the state,’’ he said.

Ogunyemi also appealed to residents of the state to cooperate with all security agencies by strictly complying with the directive of staying at home.

He, however, said that his personnel and other sister agencies would be seen at strategic locations to enforce the lockdown directive. (NAN)
