Ekiti, Osun to partner as Fasanmi is slated for burial on Tuesday

The Ekiti State Government and its Osun State counterpart are to work together with the family of the late Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Fasanmi, to give the departed elder statesman a befitting burial.
To this end, Governor Kayode Fayemi has set up a 13-man committee to coordinate Fasanmi’s burial ceremony.
The body of Fasanmi, who died in Osun State on July 30 at the age of 94 is billed for burial at his Iye-Ekiti, Ekiti State hometown on Tuesday.
The Chief Press Secretary to Ekiti State Governor, Yinka Oyebode, in a statement on Sunday titled, ‘Fayemi names 13-man committee for Pa Fasanmi’s burial,’ stated that the committee “is to work with the family of the late elder statesman and the government of Osun State to ensure a befitting burial for the deceased.”
Oyebode listed members of the committee, chaired by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, as Senator Bunmi Adetunmbi; Ibrahim Olanrewaju; Tope Ogunleye; Commissioner for Agriculture, Chief Folorunsho Olabode; and his Information counterpart, Muyiwa Olumilua.
Other members are the Ekiti All Progressives Congress Chairman, Paul Omotosho; Femi Ajayi, Mr Ayoola Owolabi, Chief Moji Fafure, Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Brig. Gen. Ebenezer Ogundana (retd.); Chief Alaba Abejide and Mr Taju Adejumo, who is to serve as secretary.
