National grid collapses again

 

 

Electricity supply to most parts of the country has been disrupted as the National Grid suffered system collapse on Sunday morning.

Kaduna Electric Distribution Company in a message to its customers, on its official twitter page wrote that the system collapse occurred about 11.26am on Sunday morning.

In another message sent to customers, Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) apologised saying “Dear customer, There is a system collapse on the National Grid. Supply will be restored as soon as the issue is resolved. Apologies for the inconvenience.“

As at press time, neither of the Transmisson Company of Nigeria (TCN), the Federal Ministry of Power nor the National Electricity Regulation Company (NERC) has issued an official statement on the incident.
