FG launches National Talent Export Programme at 78th UNGA
The Nigerian government has launched the National Talent Export Programme (NATEP) on the sidelines of the 78th United Nations General Assembly in New York City.

Officials of the government stated that the launch of NATEP signals a significant step toward promoting Nigeria’s cultural diversity and artistic prowess while opening up opportunities for its talented citizens worldwide.
NATEP, introduced with the enthusiastic support of Nigerian officials and international partners, seeks to identify, nurture, and promote the talents of Nigerians across various fields, including arts, music, film, literature, sports, technology, and more.
It is envisioned to showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and innovative capabilities to the global community.
The launch event was held at a prominent venue near the United Nations headquarters.
During her keynote address, Nigeria’s minister of trade and investment, Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, highlighted the importance of NATEP in fostering international collaboration and promoting a positive image of Nigeria.
“Nigeria is a nation rich in talent, creativity, and innovation. With NATEP, we aim to celebrate our exceptional citizens and provide them with the platform they deserve to shine on the global stage,” she said.
NATEP’s launch also attracted the attention of international diplomats, celebrities, and philanthropists who supported the initiative.
Several countries and organizations have already expressed interest in partnering with Nigeria to facilitate talent exchange programs, collaborations, and investments in various sectors.
As part of NATEP’s long-term vision, the Nigerian government plans to establish talent incubation centres, academies, and platforms to enable talented Nigerians to receive world-class training and mentorship.
